The 991S might have a handling edge on the 997TTS, but it won't out run it.

A 997 Turbo S is over a second faster in the quarter. Acceleration wise, a 991S is no where near the same league as even a 997.1 Turbo. Got to wait for the 991 Turbo for that comparison to take place.

Natch it confirms all of my opinions, predudices etc. Now we need a similar comparison of my favorate sports car, (991 S Sport PASM without PDCC) and your favorate "real" sports car!
That video was an excellent summary of the issue.

Depending on your perspective, it supports both positions on the topic.

A really interesting comparison is if they will repeat the test when the 991 Turbo comes out. That will be a more apples to apples comparison.

That said, I still prefer my more mechanical setup for driving fun. Lap times are not a priority for me.

The 991S is 5.9 seconds behind the 997 Turbo S at Nordschleife. Plus Walter Rohrl (may the blessing of Allah be upon him) was driving the turbo. Ummm, that's in the same league and amazing without a turbo. Just sayin'.
