A 2 sec difference seems about right as it was, but ....Why can't these guys ever test cars on comparable tires!

Because the cars are provided by the manufacturers and they provide them in the same spec as the cars they sell. C2S is not available with MPSC from the factory.

I am sure the lap time difference would have been even narrower with pdk on the 991. Add on PDCC and 991 would have won.

That happened at Nurburgring.

He liked the feel of the steering which was somewhat refreshing.

Even more, why can't they just do a decent alignment and set the tire pressures right on a GT3 for a track outing like real owners do? Notice the comments about how the GT3 understeers. A GT3 has a completely adjustable suspension (ride height, adjustable rollbars, capable or running up to 5 deg negative camber from the factory). No understeer problems here. Give that 991 some track tires then setup the GT3 properly and run the test again. I suspect the gap in lap times with be significantly greater.

While its true a suspension adjustment would change things, they were doing a factory spec comparison to be fair.

Obviously Porsche did a better job with it than BMW did.

Someone should tell Tiff that he'd get better lap times if he wouldn't let the car get so loose in the turns.
