Default It's in my driveway!

I picked up my S cab yesterday. Three words - BEST CAR EVER! I'd love to post some pics, but when I try to upload one I keep getting an upload failed message. Any ideas?

Default In the driveway

well that means you made it back from the inlaws! They didn't make you keep it there...what I want to know now is do you plan on following the 2,000 mile break in of keeping it under 4,000 revs...or do you, "feel the need for speed"..as they said in Top Gun

To answer IndyRob's question, I have tried to keep the revs under 4000. I've strayed occasionally, but for the most part I've been a good boy.

Now for some impressions of the 991. As I've mentioned in previous posts, my wife and I drove her '09 C4S coupe from central PA to White Plains, NY to have her car serviced and pick up my new C2S cab. I am probably one of the few 911 owners who have had the opportunity to drive 300 miles in a 997.2 on Saturday and 300 miles in a 991 on Tuesday. And I'm talking real world driving - highway, urban roads (including Manhattan), suburban roads, and winding country roads. Say what you will about it's lack of "rawness", but the 991 is hands down a better car for those of us that use it on a daily basis. Who the hell wants "raw" when Porsche took everything that makes a 911 a great car - speed, acceleration, handling, looks, engineering, sound - and made it even better. For those that are trying to decide between a leftover 997 and a new 991, stop thinking right now and buy the 991. And for those of you who are fretting over options, just get what you want. There are no "must haves" on this car. Whether it's an 80something thousand base or a loaded mid 100s S, you'll be smiling every time you turn the key. I LOVE this automobile.

My car:
S Cab, white (not Carrara), black top, black full leather, manual, premium, park assist, smoker's, model delete, SiriusXM, voice control.

I agree with most the comments except one must have option for me is the PSE i love the sound of the exhaust and have not gotten tired of it at all. Enjoy your new ride I love my C2S cab! Almost at 2500kms 500 more and I can finally hear what 5000+ rpm sounds like.

Wow. great looking car. Perfect color combo! Those are my favorite 20inch rims! We need a nice side-by-side shot of the 991 and the 997.2 in your garage. Both look awesome.

And I agree with everything you said.

Interesting build - just the essentials! Did you get the base stereo? I'm wondering about your impressions of it. I also like the model delete.

Congrats!

LOVE the car in White! Can you tell a difference between "White" and "Carrara White"?
