A new Porsche 991 is born on 7/16! Dealer sent me the VIN and said its built now awaiting to ship. Originally dealer quoted me 7/16 was the production start date. It pays to press your salesman for the correct data. One thing I learned from this whole process is that the people on this forum know much more than any Porsche salesman. Kudos to all the great info on this form.
I will attach pics when I get delivery. JB

Info for those in SoCal: I returned my 991 to the factory on 5 July, just missing a ship (previously mentioned in this thread) departing on 3 July. I've just been informed by the Euro Delivery folks in Atlanta that the car will be on the Dorado Leader, departing Antwerp 18 July and estimated to arrive in San Diego on 17 Aug. Googled the name of the ship and can see where it's docked at the port.
