Just back from cars n coffee at Great Falls VA. Usual collection of super cars, muscle cars, sports cars, hot rods, interesting bikes and friendly people. Temp is up to around 90, headed to 102, and huuuumid. AC+vented seats= ahhhhh.

Finished working a 24 hour shift (= one monthly payment on my car), came home and crashed instead of hitting cars and coffee. going for a run in the 110F heat shortly then, if I live, I'm going out cruising.

I have a black/black 991 base as well and have found the AC to be great, even on very hot days (like today!).

Tuned the "Sound Symposer" to a, to me, much better balance intake noise vs. exhaust.

The hi-tech material used to dampen the intake noise conductor outlet -- some Printer packaging foam...lol.

All credit goes to Iambon for having posted pics of where the inlet is, in the Symposer thread.

During the noise evaluation trip, went to a sporting goods store. Parked in the virtually empty side entrance lot -- of course...

Not an ER doc. I'm an anesthetist - master's in anesthesia. Normally I'm a 40 hour/week guy, but if I can pick up an extra 12 or 24, they do reward generously.

Great photo Fbroen. What'd you take that with? Great angles and focus

Nothing. It's at the dealer having a radar detector installed and some minor warranty matters resolved

Hey fbroen- I want to do the same thing. Was there any part of the project that was difficult? How did you get that carpeted piece off to gain access? Thanks!

Iambon posted great pics of piece to remove here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/7046...bin-inlet.html

Not difficult, and no tools needed.

The piece under the rear window is on there with 6 or 7 clips. Just pull carefully horizontally towards front of car, and it comes out. The clips are metal, so nothing snapped off or anything. And to put back, just some pushing and a little friendly nudging with the side of the fist to get the panel back on.

Thanks- can't wait to try it. I really don't like the force induction sound on accelerating but I will miss the burbles when dowshifting.

I missed my car today.

On a 3 week week business trip through Europe and Asia. Besides seeing the family, driving my car after so many weeks out is one of the great pleasure in life. Can't wait to get home!

Saw two 991's parked near my hotel in London. London is loaded with Porsches. Also saw 3 cayman's parked in the entrance of my Japan hotel. The cayman's looked nice...

Realized that I am getting a little too comfortable with the car's end-points.

This is where I stopped up against a curbe (and thought I had a little more safety margin).
