Default 991S has amazing presence

My 991S finally arrived this week and took delivery June 27, just an awesome day in Vancouver.

This car has such an amazing presence that I never felt with any 996/997 model. The styling is just superb, so sleek which belies the mere 2" of added length. Interior detail is equally delightful.

Performance just leaves the biggest grin . . . well all of you that have had the privilege of 991 ownership just know . . . Porsche really made it special this time around.

If the 991S is just that good, it is almost scary how good the 991 GT3 and Turbo will be!

Sport Design steering wheel

Sunroof
Premium Package with Adaptive Sport seats
Euro front side markers (thanks Bob)

IMHO, white is the best color for the 911.

I have been going back and forth on white, but that looks so good I think my decision has been made.

Agree with you on the turbo. I think it's going to look amazing in white.

There is a long section just west of the 90 degree turn where there is no curbing. Makes for a great shot and have done this several times over the years.

I too internalized over the colour for some time and just wanted a change from silver which I had on the just sold 996 of 14 years. White seems to show the details of the body so much better than darker colours and the contrast between the white and black details made it for me. The thin aluminum spoked Carrera Classic wheels with dark grey interior paint makes them look even larger and just adds to that theme. The -20mm ride height with PASM Sport chassis makes for nice proportions. And for those who are concerned about getting your hands through the spokes for cleaning, fear not, plenty spacing.

Went standard black. There are enough silver accents to nicely accent the beautiful interior sculpture. Again the contrast is beautiful. The LED cabin and button lighting are a delight and have always liked Porsches choice of white over black on the gauges. I opted to delete the S's silver tach facing as I find it too distracting. All black gauges for me.

Tried to take some interior shots showing the dash/console lighting, but didn't turn out so good. Doesn't do the car justice . . . you have to sit in it at night, close the door, crank Dark Side of the Moon on the Bose and just breath in that new car delight!

Default Beautiful

Your car looks fantastic. Re PSE- I drove an S with PSE at the track this morning and was surprised that the intake sounds (piped in) really dominated the experience noise wise - from inside the car with a helmet. Maybe the spectators enjoyed it, but I was way too busy with the rest of what an S provides- blistering speed and eyeball popping braking!
