I got the Premium Package Plus that, inter alia, includes the Light Design Package, described as "addtional ambient LED lighting in the overhead console, in area of door handles, door storage compartment, rear seats and footwell for driver and front passenger." I cannot figure out how to turn the described interior lights on. The only adjustments in the PCM are for ambient brightness and fade-out time. The only mention in the manual is that ambient lights turn off when the doors lock. In my 997, footwell lights were always on. Should not the same be true on the 991? If so, anyone know how to get the lights on? If the lights don't stay on, what did I pay for?

Hmmm, I too have the same package and no issue with them coming on when the lights are on. There is a brightness adjustment as you have already found and I thought I remembered there was an "on/off" for the ambient lighting in the same PCM menu area. I'll check it out later - but they are there and work fine.

If I push and hold the lights above the mirror in my car they cycle through dim to bright ... don't recall if they actually go off.

the ambient lighting is in the cluster in my cayenne, not sure on 991... mine only turn on when i open the door. LOL

There is an interior button to the right of the garage door openers where the headliner meets the front window. If the red light is extinguished, the interior lights are enabled.
