Default 991 Supsension clunk

Last month I took delivery of a 991 Carrera S. I have a clunk in the right front suspension when I go over certain speed bumps. The same ones that I drove over in an '07 Boxster S with no problems. The car spend nine days at the dealership and PCNA is involved. I was just informed that this noise is normal in all the new S models. Anyone have a similar problem?

There have been a few posts on this topic, you might try a search. I know "it's normal" would not be a good answer if it were my car.

Default Rt front suspension noise

I have a 991s and I also have the same issue.
Mine is going in next Tuesday to resolve the issue(2nd visit for this)
I do not accept this is normal for a $125k car.
We should not accept this for a Chevy either.
I will update after the visit.

"Normal" is a mechanic's choice of word for his inability to diagnose or fix a problem.

Have had my 991S for 3 days now and tonight after first gas fill up I drove over a small speed bump and the right suspension made an awful clunk. Very surprised as this never occurred in my 14 year old 996 (just sold) over the same bump and same slow speed.

By the entries on this thread, this is not isolated.

i have a engine/trans clunk when going from standstill to throttle on, (noticed when going over speed bumps in my garage, i come to stop and then apply gas and it's like a thunk..)

suspension noises i had a creak but it was a sway bar bushing needing lube.

They replaced the top of the front left suspension strut on my 991. Apparently there is a bearing there that was coming loose. They tried to tighten it, but this was unsuccessful, so they replaced. Good luck with PCNA; in my experience they will simply waste a lot of your time and won't do anything constructive.
