I think the real issue is that the wheel arches are made to house 20's. I too would like the 19s for performance and ride reasons.

If you want to keep the 19's and make it look better, I would lower the suspension and add spacers to push the wheels out a bit. This will fill up the wheel wells better.

Nah. Dealer confirmed that the wheel wells are the same size. I am now getting use to them. They don't look that small to me anymore. I parked next to my buddy that has a 997 with 19's and believe it or not, the spacing between tire and wheel well wasn't that material. I am cool with it now after seeing the two next to each other. It was more or less in my head! Just make sure you cats with the 20s don't park next to me or I will begin my rant again

Unless the car with 20s are on a car with PASM Sport (-10 for PASM and another -10 mm for the shorter springs compared to yours), the gap between the tire and the fender lip will be the same. The difference is roughly a three finger gap vs a two finger gap.

Yah. Agree. Interesting to see that the wheel wells on the 997 and 991 are the same with our side by side comparison today and the dealer verified so not convinced that 991 is built for 20's. Both cars had 19's so it was a fair comparison.

I didn't think your car looked bad with 19's. I was just making a suggestion. Glad it's grown on you.

Whatever you decide, I would keep the 19s. And performance-wise, I've very pleased with the Goodyears. I had Pirellis on my last 911 ... they wore out quickly and squeaked a lot, and I was never that impressed in terms of performance.
