Default First Porsche Arrived

Well yet another Cab has been born. My specs are;

2012 911 Carrera S Cabriole
Basalt Black
Black/Platinum Grey Int
Burmester
Prem Pkg Plus
PDK
Steering wheel Heating
ParkAssist
Sport Chrono
Power steer plus
Multi-function Steering wheel

Took possession Friday and went to the Mountains for a break-in. This is my first sports car and convertible. Was driving a 10 year old Acura MDX. As this car has been well described I will offer the following. First don't know why this car has brakes? Don't seem to use them much. You turn the wheel and the car just goes where you want it. Amazing! The tech takes time to understand. I'm a digit head and am still learning after two days. I put a iPod classic with 100 CD's on it and it works great in the PCM. Just stuck it in the glove compartment. Very comfortable ride even in sport mode. I think my wife likes this thing more than I do! The one thing that surprised me was the engine sound. Everyone talks about how great it is and IT is! Seems like a dumb quality to enjoy but it sure adds to the driving thrill.

Very nice. Mine should be here in about 6 weeks, and looking at cars like yours helps ease the pain of waiting. I didn't order PSE, so I'm glad to hear you like the sound without it.

Forgot to mention I had Xpel Ultimate self healing protective film installed including wheel wells. Plan to own this car a long time.

Congrats! Enjoy it. I took delivery of my coupe a week ago and I love it. I am getting my Xpel done this week. How do you like the Xpel Ultimate?

Hard to say at this point. Dealer recommended it. The rear wheel wells are neat as they extend onto the lower "rocker" panel. Expel does have a 10 year warranty.

What drew me to the porsche 911 originally was it classic looks....a timeless design. The idea that they have just kept refining it every year appealed to me. Love that it gets great MPG and the new top is a winner. Lightweight but has the assets of the coupe. IMO this is the best cabriolet Porsche has made on any measure.
