No you are not. I drive my car everywhere. Don't want to drive a beater. Life's too short. It's a Porsche... not a Ferrari or Lamborghini. (Driven both of those too and still prefer my 911).

If it bothers you that much, put a camera in it so at least you can track down the looser that damages your car and then take a flame thrower to his beater.

Just make sure the car isn't in the line of fire.

This weekend we were at the ranch and my sons were chasing off barn swallows trying to build a nest under the porch. Son
#1 accidentally shot son #2's new GTI with a 410. Son #2 then shot son #1's Tahoe. Then I had to step in before it got out of hand. LOL!

The Porsche was safely in the garage in Houston.

Texas really is different from up here in the Northeast (not in a bad way). I do lots of business there and really enjoy the contrast.

They were light varmint loads fired from about 30 yards away. No damage done that can't be buffed out.

That trend should suggest that you should look into the mirror and/or assess your driving habits. Are you sure you're not "the guy" that takes up two spots at the weekend mall??

In public parking lots in New York I tip on the way in and ask them to look after the car. I then tip them on the way out. Never had a problem.
And when I had an apartment in NY's upper west side I parked overnight on the street. Did this for 3 years and only had a problem once, when I parked in front of a fruit stand. In the morning I found peach pits on the car. I can only imagine a couple of guys late at night enjoying their peaches and looking at my black 997S....well, they must've had a great time spitting pits at it.
Now my Jeep is another issue. Rear bumper is full of small nicks. I truly believe that people are more careful when they park in front or behind an expensive sports car than they are when it comes to a Jeep. Go figure.

You're suggesting I drove or parked the dark colored cars differently than the light ones? Really?

Be reasonable in the way you park and attention will be less of an issue.

This seems to be the best solution but makes the DD difficult. As to zero deduction insurance I would go for that except my experience has been that they raise your rates to compensate for ANY claim. As usual, insurance companies love to insure you as long as you make no claims!
