Default First drive of the 991

I got to drive the 991 on Friday; Porsche flew us by helicopter to Phillip Island GP circuit from Melbourne and we had a whole morning in the cars.

They were all 991 Carrera S with PDK, but some had the sports Crono package and the sports exhaust. We had the option of going out with an instructor if we wanted. They said we needed to keep the PSM on, otherwise we paid for the damage. I'm glad I did as I had a bit of a moment that the PSM helped me save. (it was raining for some of the morning, so the track was quite wet.) See the video below:

I took a couple of other videos of me trying to drive:

Also took some footage of a friend doing the sighting lap, it was his first time in a Porsche and his first time on a race track!

We both loved the car. I thought it was a big step up from the 997, but want to see what they do with the GT3.

After the session, they flew us back to the Melbourne GP circuit to watch the F1 practice sessions.
