Default Heating Seats

Hi Guys - something minor but noticed that the 991 has 3 levels for heating seats versus 2 levels in the 997.2. Wondering if thats b/c owners complained about the seats not getting hot enough

My 997 seats work fine. I love the heated steering wheel and now it is a must have on any new car. I can't wait to try the ventilated seats when it gets hot this summer in Minnesota.
Just bought my car new in Nov.

Do your seats get super hot? Or just warm? Mine just get warm. Curious on why the 991 has an extra level. My wife's Bimmer get super hot

They get warm not too hot. I have everything set I just get in and drive and everything is perfect no matter how cold in just a few minutes. My 2010 4 Runner is all manual and I have to fiddle with the controls while I'm driving. The heated seats have a variable control so I don't have to adjust it.

I like the low setting; the "high" is too much for me, while my wife prefers it. My MINI has three settings, from hot to broiling; again, I prefer the low.

Warning -- whining from the lucky to be privileged: but luke warm heated seats are annoying. I understand that some don't like them too hot, but at least provide the ability to crank 'em up for those that like that. So the three-speed seats seem like the ticket -- provided level 3 is as exagerated as the 991 sport plus mode...

My seats on my 2012 GTS get plenty warm for me. No need for a higher "rump roast" setting for me. Not sure why they went to three settings on the 991. Maybe the highest setting is warmer than the 997.2. Maybe they went with three stage heating on all their cars to save money on parts.

So why does Porsche NOT use the same switches/locations in their various models. Maybe they do now with the similar center consoles. But, my 09 cayenne and boxster use different seat heat switches and different steering column locations for speed control. why why why??

The low setting on my cab's heated seat would overshoot, a bit too hot, before settling into warm, so I guess the new low setting will correct that.

The low setting in my car def does not overshoot. The high setting is just warm. Maybe coverts are different.
