Default Build is complete but not on vessel

It completed on time on Feb 9th. But, when I checked with them last Thursday, it's still not on the vessel yet. So, it looks like they're waiting to fill the vessel before they launch it. So, I have 3 more weeks to wait??? Does anyone know?

Also, is anyone here afraid of the first year model having issues? I have always avoided buying the first year model, but I am breaking my own rules. I hope that it's not going to be a decision I am going to regret financially.

Cheers,
Kevin

I wouldn't worry too much about first model year issues. I've owned a 2006 Cayman S for the past 6 years and it has been the most reliable car I've ever owned. I have a 991 on order.

arent you afraid it will ride rough?

they always sit around, takes about 1 month from build date to arrival on US soil... just sit back and wait till march 9th to look again.

Yes, but my wife still wants it. I am not the main driver, so it doesn't matter.

It all depends when it goes on vessel.. If your car completes production a couple days before a boat launches then you're in luck, most cars however will be in CMPPRD status for about a week before switching into ONVESL status.

A new version of our dealer-manufacturer network will be out in a few weeks which will have a far better vehicle status widget.
