Glad I changed my build to black deviated carpet though ($700 to pick up a different color carpet on the assembly line, gotta love Porsche). So it's going to be Carrara White exterior, Carrera Red natural leather/black carpet interior, and Carrera S wheels painted black. Damn, still 2 months out.
Sounds like you built a beautiful 991!

As far as the hood badge goes the ones I have seen are a substantial piece countersunk into the hood and not just a sticker. The only reason Porsche lists zero cost items is because they are part of option packages or necessary preparations for another option package so I have to wonder if there isn't a less ornate hood badge if you get a base car or don't check some option box? Just speculating there.

Qucik question, with this full leather option, IS THE CONSOLE covered in leather? or just the dash/doors?
or basically, what exact parts are covered in leather?

If you want to (and there is diminishing returns on these choices), you can change the aluminum trim brightwork, both on the dash and doors and on the gear shift surround to leather. And you can continue the leather from the leading edge of the dash on forward to the windshield. You can also cover the slats in the AC vents, the frame around the vents, and the surround around the dash instruments in leather. The rear speakers can be covered and even the key can come in a leather wrapped enclosure. The formed plastic piece between the two rear seats can be changed to leather with decorative stitching and as a bonus that comes with that, the front console lid gets matching stitching. For a while the seat backs of the sports seats could be leather covered and I'm sure that option will be back.
Confused? Just order full leather and everything that's not leather is pretty unimportant.

As for this car, I think it looks great minus the white wheels. And I agree 100% with getting black deviated carpet (and stitching while you're at it!). It really tones the red down enough to make it exotic without being overwhelming.
Thanks for posting these new 991s - it's interesting to see the varieties out there.
