Default DISCOUNTS OFF MSRP

I'm going to order a 991S in about 4 or 5 months from now (maybe an early 2013 model). The build will most likely be around $125K. Could anyone share their buying experience with either an in stock or spec. vehicle? I might order a new Cayenne at the same time. Thanks in advance.

I am uncertain how allocations are established. It would seem that ordering two would net you a better discount. Interesting to see if others chime in. I would expect 7% to be standard. I know some have negotiated 9%. My guess ordering two will net you 7-9%.

Reports are 3% off of list on the new 991. Depending on demand that could increase in a few months.

Once you get your build nailed down, e-mail it to all the dealerships within a few/couple hundred mile radius. Name your price, and state your intent to purchase immediately and give a deposit (credit card) over the phone. Dealerships out-of-state, with open build allocations will be most aggressive on pricing.

Last yr I was offered only 3K off of a 142K new tt (ordered, not on the lot). Turns out the sticker on a 991S isn't that much less......

I did almost the same thing as you. I ordered a 991 back in November, recieved a small discount, car will be bult in March - 6-speed. Then my wife decided that she wanted a Cayenne and the dealer has one coming in that she liked, so basically I will be spending $200K next month at the dealer and the discounts were not great. Even the Cayenne's are selling well there, not much stock.

10% is the dealer #, no way they'll do 7-9 with ease... I got 7% because of purchase history and i thought that was phenomenal...
