Talking Getting Lucky at a 991 Launch Party!

My wife and I attended Porsche of Monterey's 991 Launch Party on Saturday. They had two 991's on the showroom and a very nice buffet dinner catered by Il Fornaio of Carmel. As an added bonus for attending the Launch, they asked everyone to stop by the reception desk and register to win a limited edition Porsche Design '911 gt3 Speed II Chronograph'. At the end of the evening, it was raffled off and was won by...my wife! I am very lucky to have her as my spouse!

For you watch buffs, this is a limited edition - #792 of 911 made for the world. It has a 'precision quartz movement...dial with luminescence hour & minute hands...high-quality titanium case...striking black and bright yellow colour...split-time measurements, date display, stopwatch and tachymeter." It has a retail cost of $699.

I thank Larry Wendell, Lance Gearing, Peter Savale & the other staff at Porsche of Monterey for putting such a good Launch event. If nothing else, it has now insured that my wife will be more than willing to attend all future parties at the dealership! And yes, she is wearing 'her' watch, not me.

Saludos, Eduardo

It is a great watch. I have the GT3 cup version of the same watch that dealership gave me when I got my RS 3.8, very cool.

Eduardo,

If you could talk her into that gorgeous Spyder and the now gone signal green 911 you ought to be able to talk her out of that watch!

Tom: If you add the new JCW Mini Hatch we just got as a DD, I don't want to push my luck! I'll let her wear 'her' watch and keep on trucking! Saludos, Eduardo

Watch aside, I love the blue on red colour scheme of that Boxster Spyder! In a world of dull grey on grey, that car is awe-inspiring!
