Default Cigarette Lighter

If you don't get the smoker's package is there still a dashboard mounted cigarette lighter? The reason I ask is that I need to use a trickle charger as my car will be a summer only driver. Thanks.

No, there is no cigarette lighter unless you order the smokers package.

However, there are three 12 V sockets available: front passenger footwell, glove compartment and in the centre console storage compartment.

(This is the European spec, but I doubt the US spec is different)

Thank you. What is footwell socket for? Can you access the center console storage socket without a light gong on? As I mentioned I need to use a trickle charger so having a light on would create an issue.

The 997 has a footwell socket on the left-hand-side of the passanger (US). It's by itself, so no lights go off when accessed. Not exactly sure what the intended use is, but I've it used for my radar unit before. Cheers.
