Yeah, long live the 928!

So what happens to all those rumor about a 2 door model base on the Panamera? Lot of speculating from various media but no solid insider info from PAG. Actually a 928 successor would be a nice addition to the Porsche line up.

I'll start saving my pennies for the one on the bottom.

However, as late as a year ago the official spoken word from Porsche brass was no 2-door Pano; it would compete with the high-end of the 911 range.

While I love the idea of a modern 928 (and would seriously consider buying one if Porsche brought it back!), there will always be a 911 with the engine in the rear.

I don't think there's much room for another sports car - between the Cayman/Boxster and the 911 and between the 911 and Panamera. Possibly an electric model that isn't one of those cars, but that's about it.

There's room at the top end, for like a mid-engine 488 fighter above the Turbo S.
