May I suggest you expand your 'blue' horizons and consider 'Crystal Blue'. It is a vintage early 911 color (e.g. 1970), quite rare ('special order' even back then) and stunningly beautiful! It is a flat, non-metallic color and you might have the only 991 gt3 gal at the Porsche ball with that striking exterior hue! Just a thought....

Interesting how women I know prefer black/grey. I've been told that liking bright colors is my 2nd childhood by a beautiful friend. Guys, what do you think?

I love that Crystal Blue....thinking about a PTS for c4s Cab in 2013 in that color. Very nice but I don't see it as close to Gulf. Looks closer ot Riviera to me. Eduardo????????????

My 'Crystal Blue' 1970 911E Targa was placed next to a 'Gulf Blue' 1973 911 RS in the Historic Cars section at the 2009 PCA Parade at Keystone, Colorado. Per photo below, you can judge for yourself if 'Crystal Blue' is similar to 'Gulf Blue'! By the way, 'Gulf Blue' (formerly a very popular PTS color for Porsches until recent times) is on the list of colors PAG will NO longer allow to be done via PTS. It has nothing to do with paint fading issues. Instead, it is a copyright/trademark legal issue related to Porsche's relation with Gulf Oil Company. The latter has been increasingly more protective of its racing sponsorship in past years. Saludos, Eduardo (z356)

We will know for sure when the first person puts down money on a PTS 'Crystal Blue' order and submits to PAG an actual 'sample' for them to test at Zuffenhausen. This particular color doesn't have the copyright/trade-mark issue of 'Gulf Blue'. However, it would still need to be tested on the modern materials (steel, aluminum, plastic, carbon fiber, etc) that make up a modern-day Porsche. The old paint formula used by the factory on this 'Crystal Blue' 911E Targa in 1970 is probably no longer valid. Modern water-based paint has a totally different formulation from those used back then, when lead and other now-banned pigment ingredients were in common use in automotive paints, especially on the most bright and vibrant colors!

love the bright blues.. really wanted to order 991 in PTS but at the same time i dont want to have the additional wait...
when the GT3 comes out i'll for sure order an interesting blue... i really love mexico but they are all gorgeous.
