I think that this is grossly overated as a "problem". Like you, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a first year model, and didn't with two first year models that have never given me problems, my '99 996 or my '09 C2S with direct injection motor, PDK, etc. Again, congrats!

You should get black wheels so it's impossible to tell it's new;-)

Also, how about red seatbelts to go with the red calipers? Yum!

(You can probably tell I've been thinking along the same lines...)
