I attended Detroit Press days for another mag but being a 997.2 owner, I just had to go see their press conf & sit in the new 991.

Here's a video I threw together, I not very good w/ them but you get the effect of the 991 cab's unveiling.

My overall impression was one of a much more luxurious feel. Not ready to trade, but maybe I'll change my mind when I drive one.



Below are some pics I took myself. Outside of car is an evolutionary step. Cant say that for the interior, its a quantum leap.

I think porsche had the song made. It doesnt show up on shazam & the mp4 is only 2:24 long that was in the press materials & doesnt list an artist. I love it too! Song was as loud as a rock concert at the press conf.

Yes they do.... and they eliminated the 3rd (center) muffler that was on the 997.2.

There were actually still 3 mufflers, you can see the center muffler is all along at the top of this engine photo and a little bit of the drivers side muffler can be seen too.

Note the 7 speed stick shift! Looks kinda strange sitting so high in the console IMO

I didn't catch that on the pic originally. Removing the 3rd would be my first mod, as it was on my 2010 C2S.

It was the first and only mod on mine 997.2S - Sharkwerks Bypass!!!
