Own 997.2TT, thinking of trading for 991

Anyone else in the same boat? How do you decide?
I love the TT power, on the other hand the new tech and the lighter, rwd nature of 991 makes me think the car might be fun. Also, seems like TT values are kind of high at the moment. Open for advice
Thanks

997s to 991s would be an upgrade.
997.2tt to 991s is going to be a major downgrade. Trading 650nm torque for 440nm is a recipe for buyer's remorse.

I was considering going from a 996 C4s to a 997 turbo but but instead I'm going to the 991 S and then upgrade to the 991 turbo in 3 years.
Of course I'll have to try to control myself with custom work on the 991 S...we'll see how that works out

you mean 480-516 ft/lbs @1950 and 2100, respectively vs. 325 @ 5600 or so? Not really much to compare. Wtih that said, I prefer my .2 gt3 over my previous 997 turbo.

For all its potent acceleration the TT don't do it for me on either the handling - at least without major fettling - or the sonics - it sounds like a vacuum cleaner....combined these facets rule it out....
Maybe PAG will elect to put the blown porker on a diet and resuscitate its handling chops with the 991 iteration....but I doubt such

Rather dependent on whether you value torque over handling and litheness...not to mention a desire for aural stimulation. A debate that rages rather frequently on the GT3 forum...and given the predilections of that forum....naturally favors the GT3

And, I would consider a move from a 997 turbo to a 991S much more meaningful than a move from a 996 turbo to the 997S, as mentioned in one of the aforementioned posts. IMO, Porsche made the 991 more of jump over its predecessor then the 996 to 997 move.

Torque is a big thing but it's not the only thing. Plenty of folks prefer the lighter RWD N/A cars over the AWD Turbo's. Some guys like myself like them both for different reasons.

That comment is a good summary of my dilemma. I like the TT, but the AWD and the weight take a little of the fun out it. And frankly for me as a DD, it is pretty hard to find a place where you can use the huge torque for more than 1-2 seconds.
leaning a bit toward giving a RWD N/A car a whirl. Just waiting for chance to drive one to make sure it isn't a grass is greener type issue.
