I think you'd have to be crazy to make that trade.
Which rather explains why there are ~20 variants of the 911....

you don't like a particular flavour, many alternates present.

I love the TT power, on the other hand the new tech and the lighter, rwd nature of 991 makes me think the car might be fun. Also, seems like TT values are kind of high at the moment. Open for advice

Thanks
I might be stuck making that move becuase I just got rear ended (2 weeks ago) at a stop sign by a Chevy Tahoe and I'm worried about reliability once I get it back. I'm ambivalent about the move....excited and also worried that I like the "old school" Porsche better.

I talked to a friend of mine at Porsche who just raved about the new car so I'm a little confused.

I guess we'll see!

Damn, Tommy, sorry to hear that!

Look at it as an earlier opportunity to "upgrade" to the 991 S. You will love the 9A1 engine and its propensity to rev quickly.

Certainly wasn't trying to disparage the lighter NA rwd cars. (I did a brief experiment with a 997.2 C2S myself and have owned a couple S2000's and love my spec miata.) I'd advise the OP to drive a 991 before committing his $$ and his 997.2TT to a trade. I went from a C63 MB to a 997.2 C2S. I loved everything about the C2S except the disappointment every time I punched the throttle compared to the C63 (even moreso compared to a 997.2TT).

I have a client who pulled the trigger yesterday. He has 2011 PDK TT that he is trading in with 9k miles. Getting 991 C2S with PCCP and heavily optioned for 139k. He cant be more excited. Car will be here in a week hopefully. But he cant have it till the 4th! Of course he is a techie. He consults for Apple.
