The configurator has the n/c logo delete and the next line is a simple add 911. That's what I would do. It does look too busy with all the lettering.

How is that understated?

SC's, 3.2's, 964's, 993's, 996's and 997's did not have the Porsche script lettering, so what were they?

I think it would look okay if it said either "911" or "Carrera S" but not both.

I personally think the "P O R S C H E" logo itself looks great. Much better than having the decal on the rear window. If one doesn't like the additional model designation it can simply be deleted or substituted with the "911" option.

While the debate is focusing on the posterior-will we receive the same license plate space (can't think of the technical term) as Europe or will ours be different?

Cars destined for North America will have the same shape of license plate space but it will be narrower and will NOT include bumperettes.

Thanks Tim. Perhaps I'm being a bit thick today, but I don't quite understand that. I get the bit about the bumperettes though, so I'm not being totally stupid. Cheers.

I think you should have eithet or Porsche, but not both. Having the model name or 911, but not both would also look a lot better. I personally like the subtle PORSCHE in the rear window. People recognize the car as a Porsche at first glance, so it does not need to be well advertised on the back end.

+1.

Porsche with 911 right in the middle would look ok. Right now it's incredibly busy and FUGLY!

BTW, worse than the logo is the rear wing. Have you seen the pics of the car with the wing open?! It looks FUGLY! One of my favorite parts of 911s was how the rear-end looked with the wing open... now that's all gone! :S

OK, here is a quick P-shop of a pic off of the Porsche website. The top pic is Euro plate and the lower pic is what I believe the North America plate space will look like.
