Default 991 Catalog

Wow! love the metallic colours, silver, red, black.

Not sure I like the larger size, but the new models tend to grow on me, save 996 (sorry).

also like the power curve that continuously rises - vs my 997 thatdrops off significantly after about 5000rpm.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks for posting.

IMO, Porsche has nailed it with this car. Although many of us miss the compact dimensions of the original as well as its simplicity, time marches on. With all the regulations new vehicles must conform to and still maintain desirability, this car amazes me. 190mph, sub 8:00 'ring time, 30mpg(ish), comfort, and great looks (IMO). What else could we ask for?

Beautiful, can’t wait for Rennsport Reunion. For sure they will have a 911 display there.

+1

it's easy to get carried away by internet opinons not to say they're not valid, but let's look at it very objectively - the 991 is an outright improvement in so many ways over the 997 anyone abjectly criticizing it ---- I smell a bit of someone feeling a bit upstaged.

Just save up some more cash and get one. They'll sell as many as you want to buy.

I sure do like the taillights better than the 997.2 which look like they were designed in Japan. But are my eyes playing tricks or do I not see a handbrake in evidence anywhere, even in the pictures of the cars with standard transmissions? How is one supposed to do a smooth uphill takeoff without a handbrake? Or is there some computer-controlled gizmo they've decided is better for us?

it looks like the Panny.

I cant believe 20's are standard on the S and 19s on the Non S. Also cant believe no 305 tires on the S. WTF.

if anybody has a bit of free time - could you pls compare GTS to 991 in catalog`s engines section to list what is actually different there? I assume it should be same 9A1 block with only minor diffs, right?

Even on the current S the only way to get 305's from the factory is to order the Carrera Sport wheels; all the rest come with 295's. This basic catalog obviously doesn't show all of the optional equipment that is or will be available. Relax, I'm sure there will be optional wheel packages with wider rear tires. Note that they've already increased the standard S front tire size to 245's.
