New '991' video - looks more like a 996, right!?

A photo in case the video doesn't work...
I think the headlights are looking more 996 than 997. Overall, makes our $20k cars a bargain considering how similar they are to the newer models!

Looks like a cayman to me since the engine is moved more toward the cabin.

Three Wheelin'
To me, the major distinguishing feature of the 996 against all of its 911 brethren is and always has been its headlights. From the still shot, I see a bit of the Cayman in the rear haunches and 997 in the front 2/3 of the car.
Because of their evolutionary styling, one of the greatest things about owning a modern used 911 (back until even the 993) is is that, to the untrained eye or the non-enthusiast, they all look like new cars.
A pristine late model 993 still looks like a modern car. If Porsche were to re-release one today with new technology underneath, most of us would probably be thrilled. And, headlights aside, the 996 and 997 aren't fraternal twins. They're more like identical twins, one of which had plastic surgery while the other opted not to visit the surgeon. You decide which is which. lol

I think it looks kind of like a cross between a Panamera and a Cayman. I'm looking forward to seeing one in person without all the stickers and tape on it.

It is very Caymen like due to the bulges in the rear fenders and front lights. Wonder if the purists will go nuts over the shared Caymen lights and interior?? Will the 991.2 have round headlights like the 997?

New EVO Magazine had long story of the new 991, and I think that it looks 100% better from side than 996 or 997.
The wheelbase is longer and the overall length is allmost the same.
