looks like a 911 like it should. We really need to see one parked next to a 997 to judge the size difference.

When I got my 997 cab I parked to next to my friends 996 cab. Couldnt believe the 997 looked so big.

Def getting one.. always believed in it and it looks great, door cards look bizarre but again the pana/cayenne looked bizarre at first and it just "works"

im still not sold on electronic parking brake but we'll see... ferrari does that better for sure... they need to take more transmission and drivetrain cues from ferrari (manual for default, auto parking brake with engine off)

Nice video. Enjoyed the sound of the engine. Jury is still out on the car tho...looks heavier and larger than the current 997 models and interior more Panamera-ish! Don't get me wrong I like the Panamera but if I wanted the interior of the car I'd buy one or a Cayenne maybe...to push it throughout the model line while cost saving and economical to me seems to take a little bit of the individuality of each car/model line, IMHO.

What's next? I guess all interior Porsche's 911, 987, Cayenne, Boxsters will all have the same interiors?

Are all the new Porsche's fitted with the side vents? or are those cars in the video turbos?

Those "side vents" are just stickers on those test mules. Just part of the camouflage package.

Fake Turbo side sticker vents are to cover up the extended wheel base. Rear wheels are moved back some 4 inches making the 991 appear like a dachshound wiener dog.

Did anyone catch the new 7 speed manual in the video? Looks like 7th gear will be to the far left and up. Plus the shifter looks really high (almost on the console itself).

You're correct. Far right (not left). Think I've been online too long :-)

This must be the best disguise ever. I can’t tell an iota of difference between a 997.2 and this thing. Maybe that’s a good thing, given that the 997 is the second best looking 911 ever. I remember back in ’96 with my brother walking into a dealer for a new 996 and instead walked out with a used 993. They weren’t even in the same league. Nonetheless, just to be sure, hold on to your 997 my friends. Hold ‘em tight. Hug them and tell it how much you love ‘em.
