WOW! Thanks for that, first pics I've seen with different front headlights.

I actually do NOT LIKE IT at all... looks like the car is a bit taller, the headlights look like eggs again!, rear is hard to imagine, but it sure looks different (uglier), LEDs look fine I guess but who cares?!... oh well, have to wait and see the final product.

One question, they JUST CAME OUT with 997.2 about 12 months ago, how can they justify a new model within a year after 997.2?

car looks very sleek, but jesus the 911 should simply not be this big in my opinion.

Looks pretty slick. Maybe Porsche is getting back on track in terms of simple and refined design.

there's so much fake stuff hanging off that it's really hard to tell where Porsche is going. Suffice to say, it won't be too far off the mark....think evolution....

Agreed. They need to make a no-nonsense fluff-free variant. 1-2 feet shorter, 500 pounds lighter. No room for golf clubs.

Will never happen.

Well, not the front facia. The headlights look like Oval vs. round... which I don't like at all. Change whatever they want, keep the headlights as original as possible.

This thread is mislabeled. there won't be a 997.3. That will be the future 991.

Don't know about that. Change might be like 996/997 which was, essentially, a facelift.

totally disagree with this ^

the leap from 996 - 997 was significant. revolutionary? no, but the characteristics of the car are substantially different, as was the appearance.

i'm not slamming 996's but many have a very strong preference for the 997

Yeah. Look at the location of the side-view mirrors. Not like that on the 997.

Agree with 991
Same pretend turbo vents and rear camouflage
More sloping headlights, although the huge picture distorsion makes them look oval
Repositioned side mirrors
LED direction indicators are new (are they dual functiond DDL's?)

I agree with you regarding preference. It's just that under the skin not as much changed as people think that's all.

The change from 993 to 996 was a completely new car. Not so much from 996 to 997.

Similarly, I don't think Porsche will make THAT drastic a change from 997 to 991. Sure the body will be all new (vs 997.1/997.2) and likely the interior too but under the skin...
