Default Manual 7MT Shift ****

Hi, looking to alternatives to replace my shift ****. Looks and feels great... but being metal without rubber, it gets hot or cold very easily. Suggestions? Thanks.

Wood seems like the logical choice.

Yes, but looking to match an all black and carbon fiber iterior... Maybe rubber coated... or carbon fiber? Just difficult to find a full 7mt **** that fits the 991.1.

maybe explore coating it with something less thermally conductive?

Go to Function First website. They have an alternative to billet aluminum that should provide relief from hot/cold in the same aesthetic

This is the function first shift ****... maybe I am missing something. Gets blazing hot (and cold) with seasons.

The Delrin alternative for the same shift **** on the FF website eliminates the hot/cold. It's a thermoplastic

Haven't heard this complaint from those with sportshifter products. Still waiting on mine so can't say yet if the stainless/leather combo stays OK in hot and cold

https://sportshifters.com/

They have wood and other styles you could research. Build time is a hair short of forever -lol. As long as waiting for your car on TYD

Difficult to overstate how much I like my SportShifters ****. With all the customization, it takes a few months, but it's well worth the wait. Pro-tip, go with one of the heavier weighted options.

I have one of these in my GTI daily driver and love it, quite an upgrade from the stock VW ****.

I’ve been considering one for my 991.2 2CS but really don’t have much issue with the stock ****. Of any aftermarket **** I’ve seen the sportshifters **** would definitely be my choice. They offer quite a range of customizations to match your preferences and interior.

If your in the mood to spend some cash, you can get a CF one from DB Carbon in Germany. But its $800+ plus probably another 10% in duties.
