Default Frunk panel gap

Ever since I bought this car I have noticed the frunk to bumper gap was slightly uneven.
When shut, the left (driver's) side edge of the frunk lid sits slightly lower that the right one. The fact that it lies lower in relation both to the fender and to bumper cover, is telling me that the lid is the problem and the surrounding panels have not been moved.
I specifically remember Googling back then about this issue, I pulled up a Carfax report and had a specialist inspect the car to make sure it was never involved in a collision before pulling the trigger.

I didn't give it much thought until yesterday, then I saw a teenage kid sitting on my parked car's hood and took a closer look for dents and paint scratches. No damage found, but I can't unsee the gap asymmetry...
I thought it might be an easy fix, by turning the rubber bumpers, but to my surprise the left on was already screwed out more than the right one. Did someone try to adress this issue unsuccessfully?
The frunk hinges and fasteners look factory painted and untouched. The elongated holes allow only for side to side adjustment anyways, if I am not mistaken.
Both gas struts have been recently replaced.

Do you have any other ideas how to fix this?
Which part of the frunk edge is positioned correct anyway?
The left one which is slightly under the bumper or the right one that's almost flush with the bumper cover?

Thank you in advance!

The right side is correct. Try screwing out the drivers side plug. Can you close the frunk with two fingers by pushing on the badge?

Teenager sitting on the front lid of my car might give me a heart attack on the spot!

Never tried to push it down with two fingers only, but it latches relatively easily and positively every time.

Is it two fingers the minimum required force?

I've read that you shouldn't close the hood using the badge. There are two reasons for this one is that the badge will flatten over time; the other is because the pins on the back of the badge could break.

That’s what I have read too.
I am pressing down with whole palm right under (in front of) the emblem.

Is there a way to adjust the internal black plastic panel where the lid’s rubber bumpers rest?

I was wondering if there’s anything adjustable under those black panels.

I cleaned up and lubricated those rubber bumpers. I didn’t want them to break on me while turning in/out…
