I can’t speak to the floor liners in the car -- but the front cargo / front trunk Weathertech bottom liner is AWESOME -- I even pulled off the “weather tech” stick on logo and replaced with with a PORSCHE logo someone makes in the perfect side for the Weathertech mats that I bought on ETSY that (I’m sure violates some trademark ... lol Porsche legal team) and now the weather tech liner for the front compartment looks exactly like it came from Porsche! So I’d throw in my vote for that.
I think the quality is better than the Porsche up the sides thing which I gladly sold to a guy for $45 on FB marketplace - It took up too much room in the front trunk. Plus I never put anything in there that would actually damage the side carpets anyways so -- this works great.
I have a set of weather tech floor liners for when I'm going on multi-day road trips where feet might be dirty. They absolutely work great keeping gook from getting on the carpeting.
Since the interior is gray, I also bought a set of navy blue cloth mats to add a little bit of color to the interior. They came from
from high-end motorsports ... Very nice
Here’s my conversation with my wife.
Wife: Babe, are you going to get all weather mats?
Me: No, why? Are you going to spill coffee, boba tea on it?
Wife: Well no but that way you can keep the original Porsche mats clean and new.
Me: If they gotten dirty, clean them, they gotten worn out, get a new set they are cheaper than any of those weather mats anyway.
Case closed.
One of my best friends fathers, now deceased (WW II B-24 radioman) had a similar opinion, he just took out the floor mats because he said "why do I want to keep the carpet nice for the next guy?" "I want to use my carpets and when they're worn out I'll buy a new car."
In every car. As a matter of fact I purchase them before the car normally. I like the utility looks. Carpet is so 80s and gets nasty fast. I even had a jeep I had truck bed lined the interior and I had them in that as well.
As for the politics, it's kind of like Bible chicken. Just hold your nose for a minute and try not to think about it.
