Default seat center falling out. vented 18 ways

I tried pushing it back in but I can’t determine if there’s any kind of clip or anything holding this in place it’s just loose and flopping around.

Go here: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1066...ce-manual.html

Go to link in first post. Select download button across top (Downward Arrow).

Open the PDF once downloaded and go to bottom of page 6666 (Detach center cover), and top of page 6667. There will be a diagram at top pf page 6667 that shows you how the center locks in place.

Re-install is on page 6682/6683 (8. Secure front cover)

Note: In manual the pictures are below the text usually. So the figure referenced in page 6682 text is on page 6683.

Good luck!

No problem, glad to help.

I am glad you bumped this, as I had ran across a better image of the center seat back the other day, I bookmarked it to tell you, but I forgot.

I think there is a better image of the center seat back "frame" on page 3264 (others on 3267 & 3268). It is in a section on removing padding, which you don't need, but the image is informative. The one on 3264 shows the "hooking" part that you need to reengage at top center.

Yep, having the manual is great for removing trim pieces and that is usually some part of chasing down noises. IIRC someone create a eliminating noise, creaks, and rattles thread here in the 991 subforum ... you might look for that too.

Added here to save you some searching: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1416...-close-to.html

Cheers!
