When someone ask for specific advice just provide what is asked. This person did not ask if they should drive the speed limit. I read Rennlist everyday for useful advice not political garbage or your opinion.

If the lawyer costs 1500 once, but your insurance premiums get raised by x percent, over x time....that exceeds the 1500....it's a no brainer, to pick what to do. It's just a BIG racket for lawyers and judges, and the county or state anyhow.....they all know each other anyhow and when they go golfing or boozing, I'm guessing they have good laughs abut all of it....

I have used the Ticket Clinic in the past a few times. Got a ticket in GA last fall and they took care of it for me. Expensive? Yes. Insurance issues down the line? No.

Look up traffic lawyers from the court where the ticket was assigned to. Never plead guilty.
Never mind the self righteous comments about your speeding,it can happen to anyone(it will!).
Lastly, remember that all this is a system...this is how it works : cops are sent out there to collect revenue,it has nothing to do with safety. They are especially hunting people that are not local,if it was about safety they'd be fining the local hillbilly who's driving a piece of crap pickup truck with bald tires.
Everyone benefits from this : cops, lawyers, prosecutors, judges etc. They don't care about the points you're getting, they don't care about your insurance company...all that doesn't bring them any money. All they care about is your MONEY! They want you to take a local lawyer, they want you to fight the ticket : most of the times they will make more money that way,the ticket will be higher than what the law says depending on your violation, the lawyer will be making money, the court will be making money and so on...

Agree, all about revenue. Lawyers know the system, the prosecutors and the judges. It is a money racket.

And do not forget the insurance companies. They provide the laser and radar guns to the police!

Again thanks to all for your comments. I have a tenant who runs a barber shop in the area. He has lawyers and judges and police who get their hair cut there. I told him my problem and a lawyer came in the next day and he said he could help me. Barber gave him a free haircut and told him to take care of me. Hopefully this works!

Any suggestions
I go to the track to have fun. And using a rental 992 is exactly why my 991 GTS has no mileage on it.

For the future... suggest Chin Track Days, or Hooked on Driving.
Every time I'm like track days are expensive... just remind myself its better than a ticket!

Now I'm back in the state of WA, no speeding for me! I know better up here.
You can have fun in the GA mountains, however.
