What is the part number of the harness?

I'm curious about this upgrade too but I think that suncoast maybe telling the truth?
Looking at the parts catalog there are 3 wire sets for the mirror. with memory, with automatic dimming, and with both.

I believe this is the only differences. The motor and everything seem to be the same.

Do you happen to have the part number for the harness that has both? Suncoast ships the mirrors with two harnesses. One is a three pin the other is a 7 pin. My original mirrors used an 8 pin. Porsche dealer used the 7 pin.

And Yes I have seat memory and had the setting turned on. Trust me, don't like their answer and agree it should work. Waiting to hear back from Suncoast

Wire sets for sport design:
991 622 711 00 - Manually retractable
991 622 712 00 - With memory
991 622 713 00 - Automatic Dimming
991 622 714 00 - Automatic Dimming & Memory

I also found the mirror motor on the normal version has a variant: 7PP 959 578 E (version D is for sport design and without this option)
which has the option of "seat position control for comfort seats" whatever that means lol. I'm guessing theres functionality that connects to the comfort seats.

Thanks for all the input. Suncoast swears as does everyone here that the option should work and I agree. I have the correct wire harness yet my Porsche dealer tells me otherwise. Will just have to wait until I get to another dealer to get it fixed. Never heard for dealerships contradicting each other.

Did a quick search on your issue. Auto Lowering mirror during reverse not woeking - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
Looks like the OP had the same issue that you did. Not sure if the OP had the sports design mirrors or the power folding ones. He does have a 991.1 though.

When you shift to “P” after you go to “R” and it dips .. does it return to normal position?

You said that it does not return to the “normal” position after “R”… are you saying that you have to use the mirror controls to get it back to normal every time after you use “R”?

“P” should return it to normal position immediately, “D” may or may not return to normal immediate, for me it does, for others it takes either mph>20mph, or 20 seconds .. sounds like for testing returning the shifter to “P” is the best proof of concept.

@Nandska : I pointed him that that thread, but he has never responded whether he did the save steps there, or for that matter the save steps I wrote above. I can’t really tell if it is not working, or just not working as he expects tbh.

When the feature is enable and I put it in Reverse, the mirror dips properly. When I put it in D rive and drive forward it stays in that position for ever. It stays in the down position after I stop the car and remove the key and start it back up. I have followed all the suggestions using the mirror selector and memory buttons and key save buttons.

Nandska, thanks for the input and yes tried the steps provided. Also followed video Suncoast sent. I have another appointment with another dealer and see if they come up with a different answer. Maybe this dealer will tell me my missing gyroscopes need to go up to the space station first for them to work. 🤦‍♂️
