”I have been modifying and making my project a fun iteration of a GT3 look with everyday drivability.”

seems you answered your question in your post.

Even used ones are absurdly priced and there are many other fun and interesting cars to consider. Hell, I could keep my current 911 and buy a used a C8 Z06 and that would still be less than the price of a used 991.2 GT3 Touring. The market may be softening a bit, but it’s still wildly over inflated.
I feel the same. They have dramatically increased prices such that only the 0.1% can buy them now unless you buy one of their “peasant cars”. I mean a new EV Macan Turbo is now $125k+? A somewhat nicely equipped base 911 is $150k or more. I am keeping my 991.2S and G87 M2 for the time being.

Default 2 reasons not to

1l You said you do not track, a GT3 is wasted on the street
2) The 992 interior is as fugly as 996 fried eggs.

Agree with others here that the new car pricing has gone nuts. Porsches aren’t exotic cars and shouldn’t be priced as such. I’m sure there are improvements but I personally think your car looks better than most 992s. I think the last Porsche sports car appropriately priced is the 718 GT4…so if I was going to upgrade that would probably be my choice.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....LOL. I own a C4 996 and the lights have actually grown on me to the point that I like them now......but agree 100% with your thought about the GT3 being a "waste" for the streets. I also own a .1 C2S and down here in Houston GT3's are everywhere (just like Lambo's, Ferrari's & McKarens....yes thats spelt correctly LOL).....and 99% of the guys that own the do not track them and only bought them because "they were the car to buy". Real shame to be honest. If you want the best bang for the buck, buy a C8, reliability keep your Porsche, cracked windshields buy a McKaren, CEL buy a Ferrari......but if I were you want something different thats reliable, sexy AF, and gets attention buy a 2017-2018 Lambo Hurrican. You can find low milage ones now for sub $200

My sense is that you would have a new car that you won't "enjoy" being with as much as your old friend.

Frankly, with 911 pricing now, I would order an F car.

Just spend enough seat time to make sure you LOVE it in Orlando. I live in Winter Park and have a 991.2 touring. I don’t enjoy owning sports cars in Orlando. Flat straight roads and many of the in-town roads are unbearable in a GT3 imo. I love what the car represents but the fact that I bought it new in 2018 and only have 1K miles on it tells you how much I want to drive it. I typically take the Macan, the C4S cab, my Z06 or even my 40 year old Lotus Esprit all of which are much more “livable” than the GT3.

Good luck.

"I have had my GTS (991.1) for close to 5 years at this point. 4.5 of those I have been modifying and making my project a fun iteration of a GT3 look with everyday drivability."

Why not list the mods as alluded to above, "modifying and making my project a fun iteration of a GT3 look". Then list the car for sale...

991.1 GTS with aero should be quite invaluable.

If you're after primo engine scream, have you considered something like a DeMan 4.5L build? Also I see you're in Orlando - would be great to see this car at the local PCA monthly. I don't recognize it but I'd definitely drool on near it!

2016 GTS - 991.1

Since the feature it has new Matrix lights, corner balance and some additional GT3 suspensions add on’s.

Hey - I have attended some PCA events and joined last year. Have gone to a few of the Monday meets in Winter Park at the distillery (Forward Slash).

I may consider the deman option as it would be epic to get the higher displacement completed.
