2018 991.2. This is my first PDK car after many years of manuals. Doesn’t do it all the time but it’s slight noise. Don’t really feel anything but I hear it sometimes. Wife has Macan PDK and I don’t hear anything with hers. Now that I noticed this I’m listening for it every time I come to a stop!

 

Very common issue with the PDK... I don't recall seeing a poll, but about half of the PDK cars I've driven have the 2 to 1 clunk to some degree. A PDK recalibration at the dealer may or may not improve it.

2013 C2 w/ 30k miles here. Bought it 2 months ago. Mine absolutely clunks going from 2 to 1. I've spent more time than I'm willing to admit stressing out about it, researching how common this is, what causes it, and whether or not it has caused anyone any problems. In short, it sounds like this is incredibly common, not related to any ongoing issues, and dealers/indies say not to worry about it. People that have had PDK failures do not report this being a precursor. Many owners >100k miles report that theirs has done this all the while and still operates normally.

Same noise on my base 991.2 even after pdk fluid change and recalibration. I’ve also heard it’s very common and I stopped worrying about it.

 

normal. car's had the noise for over 12 years and 108,000 miles. most pronounced when car is going up a hill. so far, it seems to continue to work.

actually, never heard it when during a tractor pull contest.

 

Happens.

I'm at 89k in a 2013 C2. Just had the PDK serviced. Clunked before, clunks after. Fluid looked great.

just one of those quirks you live with.
