MY12 991.1 C2S fault codes
Hi all,
I'm doing some troubleshooting on my 2012 991.1 C2S. It's currently throwing 5 codes and from searching the forums, I haven't seen this exact combo but wondering if there are possibilities of them being linked.
Current codes:
P0306 misfire cylinder 6
P1044 acoustic simulator solenoid valve driver stage
P1672 engine compartment purge fan 2: electrical fault
010040 open circuit in control unit power supply
001174 coolant switch over valve for heating, short circuit to b+
I have been focusing on the misfire issue. So far I have tried to reset the codes, but they persist, replaced spark plugs and coil packs, P codes are still showing. Another thread said there may be some linkage between P1044 and the misfire codes so that may be my next replacement. Any feedback would be appreciated.
For the purge fan fault, both fans have been replaced, connectors are fully seated and no visible corrosion, swapped fans but fault persists - any recommendations on where to look next in the circuit?
Thanks in advance!

Don't have an answer to the rest but I just had the purge fan fault and found that one of the purge fans in the back was not starting like the other. I was able to get it started by pushing it along so I pulled it out and gave it a good cleaning including sparying the inside with electronics cleaner and that took care of it at least for now.

My first hunch would be to look around for a broken/chaffed/pinched wire in your engine compartment.
Digging through the vehicle schematics you could see if the coolant bypass COV, #2 fan, sound simulator COV, etc have some electrical connection in common.
