I own 8 cars between 1919 and 1957 and have been known to take days chasing down and eliminating squeaks and rattles. My 2015 Targa 4s came almost noise free when I bought it last year but the 2014 Carrera 4s Cabriolet was another story all together. I have spent hours with the top half open lubing every joint and moving area with notable success. Also moisturizing every inch of seals.

Yesterday I read a post on this forum about spraying silicone on top of the front shock towers, I think that is the correct name for them, and figured I had nothing to lose trying it out except 3 minutes of my time and a few ounces of spray I already have on the shelf.

Holy Toledo! I have no idea what was loosened up or allowed to move better but what a difference. This has literally stopped all the minor squeaks left I have been chasing. No kidding. How can something so simple work so well?😊 I’m sure this is not the magic cure for every squeak and rattle on every 911 but may help someone out there.

Did you spray this on the tophat from above, or in the wheel well?

From the top. Though that area looks sealed the liquid drained down in mere seconds.
