Anyone powdercoated their wheels Satin Black?
My car came with Satin Platinum wheels and am looking to switch to Satin black as I had them on my Cayman GTS and loved them. Low maintenance. Satin starts looking dirty the next day.
Looking for feedback on how the powder coating turned out? Was it close to the OEM Satin Black and how did it hold up?
My 981 GTS with Satin Black for attention
Thanks.

Just did last week!
Not mounted yet, so can’t comment on durability. Had great luck with powdercoating in the past.
Ceramic coating now with Carpro Cquartz Dlux.
As far as looks, really love the result!
Stock Satin Black

I like painting the wheels because it’s easier to touch up/repair if there is lip damage, as happens driving around a city like LA. Powder coating is difficult to get paint to touch to and you often have to respray powdercoat the entire wheel. Whereas painted wheel you can do a small scuff with sand paper/file, do a little filler if needed, hit it with primer/spray paint/clear coat as needed. Particularly with Satin Black you can so easily match with spray can, it makes repair trivial. Spray paint doesn’t like to stick to powder coat always, so your options are more limited.

I deliberated over Satin and Gloss Black for quite some time but landed on Gloss Black for my GT Silver 991.2C2S a few weeks ago.
I had the work done at a local shop for about $225 Canuck dollars/wheel but that included all services; I dropped off the car and handed over the key. They unmounted the wheels and tires, sandblasted/chemical cleansed, power coated, remounted and balanced. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have replaced the OEM silver TPMS sensors/valve stems with black stems but the outcome looks pretty good. We'll see how they hold up!
Phone pic below and good luck!

I just finished ceramic coating the face and barrels of my freshly powdercoated wheels with Cquartz Dlux.
Maybe a tiny bit more shine, but not much.
Still nice satin black.
I’ve read mixed reviews about ceramic on wheels. I’m hoping it was worth the effort 🤞🏽
