Default Ductail on 991.2 anyone?

Has anyone installed a ductail on a 991.2 turbocharged car? Is ductail not appropriate for .2s given that the tail lift would be disabled thus leading to heatsoak due to the turbos?

I believe the problem is you would need to match it with a new front splitter for aero balance. There are some threads about it.

Here's an example of someone doing it on a NA 991.2 GT3.

I did see this thread but wouldn't be able to do anything close to what the thread's OP accomplished. https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1367...991-2-a-4.html

The Inter coolers and engine are fed through an inlet at the spoiler, and the OEM spoiler is programmed to change AOE to feed more air to the inlets as needed. Changing to a ducktail spoiler would remove this feature, and this is considered a problem by most. There are threads about track guys having heat soak issues and larger aftermarket IC not particularly improving performance. Many seem to agree this is likely due to the limited airflow the IC location and ducting provides, so it seems any risk to reducing airflow would only exacerbate an already precarious balance of air flow and heat removal. It has been many years now, and no aftermarket 991.2 ducktail options exist AFAIK. Without significant testing and CFD studies I personally wouldn’t want to be a Guinea pig, especially on a platform that is already susceptible to heat stock with the stock setup.
