seems like the locals are split 50/50 on the dcs and steering wheel.

I already have a could of "low hanging fruit" upgrades:

thinkdiag
stone guards
radiator grills (when i bought the car they were litterally overflowing with leaves)

I am leaning toward the steering wheel at this point. There is one in the market place that is listed as Agate Grey (my exterior color). My interior is listed as "platinum" on the vin. anyone know how close these two are in tone? would it look weird? my stock wheel is black.

FYI - Agate grey interior looks brown.

Paddle steering wheel will be enjoyed every time you drive the car. DSC and SE are nice but may cost more for smaller benefit.

Going to the 991.2 steering wheel has been on my list for a while. I realize this means wheel + airbag. What's the best place in the US to source from these days? I'm interested in the GT3 one, alcantara, no paddles or buttons or anything.

Also, does anyone know if you can remove the paddles? And if you replace the inserts, does that remove the multi-function bits? Just want a plain alcantara wheel with no paddles, dials, or buttons. But it seems the yellow stripe and color stitching are easier to come by than just the plain wheel. It sort of looks like you could get the 991.2 GTS wheel and then add a spoke trim set in black and it would be cheaper than the GT3 wheel?

Default Alacantra sport steèring wheel with drivers stripe

It does not have any radio buttons and is basic. The grip and feel are fantastic. It was the best 1k so far.

Here are the options i have considered:

1) Local sale of a FabSpeed SuperSport X Pipe $750

2) trying to snag a newer flappy paddle steering wheel. There is one in the marketplace around $1000 and i know i would need to kick in another $500 or so for a GPS adapter

3) DCS controllers seem to be around this $1000 mark if you can find htem used or something like $1300 new.

So, what should i do?

M3Mck I am also in the same boat having recently acquired a 2016 C2S and looking at the same thing items you are looking at plus the Cobb tuner. The steering wheel looks like the hardest item to come by , at least for my particular interior as I have the Luxor beige - I have already replaced the shift **** with a black one which looks much better and think the wheel will look better black as well but to go to paddles and keep sport chromo with new airbag from Suncoast is pretty close to $3K all in which is hard to swallow - I think more hanging around the marketplace as you have is the way to go. Regardless of your decision congrats on the new wheels sir!

did you have stock wheel with MF controls before the change? I looking at this or 991.2 wheel but I’d have to move MF controls to the stalk if I went with this. I do love the way the basic SD wheel looks just not sure how much work it would be to move MF controls to stalk.

I also have a base 2013 PDK and this is where I ended up in terms of priorities:
1. Flappy paddle steering wheel (it's an amazing upgrade and the first thing I did to my car). Some say the 991.1 paddles are slightly better than the 991.2... Although the 991.2 wheel is more stylish (also about twice as much to retrofit).
2. Used PSE (~$1500, but you may have to wait a few months for one to pop up).
