This is not a big deal -- a coolant leak on a 7 year old 911.
Also ... my advice would be in the future, if you have a coolant leak, do not drive the car. Do not start the car. Do not refill the coolant and drive the car. Just get it towed. If things were to go a bit differently, and it doesn't sound like you are mechanically adept , it's quite easy to cook an engine / ruin an engine. Been there done that myself !
What did you end up doing it / has it been fixed?

2018 Targa 4 GTS - Not the exact problem, but I was getting some funky things happening (no heat and the engine temp would spike then calm down). My issue was a faulty valve body and water pump (both replaced under the 10 year warranty). They had to hook up the diagnostics and drive around b/c my problem was intermittent. I was initially told it was COVs, and paid to have them "tested"...the link to my thread is below. Bottom line...more than likely your water pump, you are also covered...

I too am wondering what the coolant temp read at the time this happened. Unfortunately, Porsche decided that this measurement would read 194..........always. This decision by Porsche truly annoys me. If a temperature gauge is not reading correctly then why have it available?
