Default Should I sell or keep? 991.1

Hi,
From Sweden here
I own a Porsche 991.1 C2S
2012, got 42k miles on it.

Owned it for 5 years know. Really loving the car but I only drive around 4k miles per year, because its not my daily. But everytime I drive it, I really love it. Its a special feeling even after 5 years.

Now I’ve got a really great offer, 86.000 USD. But I really feel bad selling the car. Dont need the money right now.

Please help me out here guys…

The return is good, bought it 5 years ago for 75k, now I have received a serious offer of 86k.
Feels like it was nice to discuss my thoughts here with you guys also.
After the night's sleep, I have decided to keep. I'm happier getting into my 991 and driving it than look at my bank account.

Sounds like if you sell it, you'll regret it. You may have $86,000 in your bank account, but you won't have a 911. Absolutely nothing puts a smile on my face like driving my 991.1 Carrera S. No matter how bad my day, it always makes me feel good. It's priceless to me!

Have to agree with Wolpertinger here. I regretted the day I sold my 997.2 GT3 for 10 years. Pulled the trigger last year on a 991.1 C2S and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it or even when I just go thru the garage. There are those that will say you may have maxed out on resale value, but, it that really the reason you purchased the car in the first place?

86K USD is a good return for a 42K mile 12 C2S. I don't know if 86K in Sweden is the same as in the US. Looks like you have something to think about.

the only reason i want money is to buy 911s so, no, i wouldn't sell. you already said you don't need the money so the answer seems clear. keep the awesome car!

I put about 3-4k miles on my 911 every year, just like you, and I enjoy every minute of it. Like you said, it feels special each time. I could daily drive it but I don't want it to lose the feeling of being a small event each time I get in it. I have another car that can do the boring drive to work. Like @jfischet said, I have extra money precisely so I can have things that make me happy..... like my 911.

One day, just like the 993's, the 991.1 will be special. (Sorry 996)
I made that mistake once when I sold my 993 C4S and I'm not making it again.
My manual transmission, naturally aspirated 911 isn't going anywhere..

Tough decision. It sounds like you are in good shape financially, so $ 86K plus a little opens up a broad field for a replacement. I’m staying with the na car to the finish line. Grin every time I turn the key.
There is an old poster; “Like kids, you just don’t understand until you have one”.

This is a great offer. If I would be you, I would try to find a newer model maybe with lower mileage and sell and get that one. Here in the US the prices have started to fall. Something like yours would, depending on condition and location go between $55-$70k.
