Hi all,
I purchased a 2018 base 7MT a few weeks ago. Coming out of a 996c4s.
really enjoying the experience so far.
I’ve been considering a lowering spring options and am most intrigued by the Litchfield KW options. Seems that @stout and others like the idea of a fixed rate spring. I was wondering if anyone has gone this route and has any feed back? Believe I saw one thread with one person who liked them but that was all I could find.
cheers!

I can't help you on your question but want to congratulate you on your new 991. That interior color combination is relatively rare. What are your impressions on the 991.2 vs. the 996 C4S? That is also one of my long-time favorites.

I owned (and still have but am planning to sell) the C4S for about 8.5 yrs/55K miles. I lowered it slightly and added a few things along the way. Driving it yesterday after a few weeks in the new car I was struck by the steering feel (better than 991), the ride (worse), the sound (quieter as the new car came with an AWE sports exhaust) but better in the 996.
Overall, I made the move from my beloved 996 as I felt like it was time to have something I felt safer having the kids in the back and for that matter, me in the front. Also, while I love the look of the C4S, Im a sucker for dark blues and couldnt resist when I saw this pop up. Moreover, I really like the interior. I do live at 6200ft, so a turbocharged car certainly performs better as well.
On a whole, very happy with the new purchase and though I will miss the 996 happy to be here!

just realized those are the stock sport-Tex seats. Would love to get some of those for my Miami blue 991.2 if anyone has any leads.
(sorry for hijacking thread op, congrats again)

Jeez, you ask a question and get nothing but compliments. I’ll join the team. How is the shifting of your MT? Is it an easy clutch to push? Smooth? I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need an MT..

certainly there are others with many more reference points than I have having only had the the 996MT prior to this, but I certainly like the MT on the 991.2. I know it was maligned quite a bit at least in early 991s but I really like it. Clutch and shift action are fairly light I would say, but still feel mechanical. Really pleased. I had the numeric upgrade to the 996 but don’t feel the need to change anything currently on the 991.2

I'll get on the compliment train....it's gorgeous!. I too love blue 911s, particularly dark blues. My first 911 was Midnight Bule Metallic, a hue similar to your new car. I also love the interior on yours with the sport tex seat centres.
As I'm contemplating lowering my T ever so slightly, I've been reading every thread I can on the subject as you appear too as well.

I’ve read so many good reviews in the European mags on the Litchfield set up. Dan Prosser and Bovingdon mention improved steering feel which is
enticing think…
