Hi

Does anyone have an opinion on this product, seen a few YouTube tests saying it’s improved compression and roughness, all other products appear to be snake oil but this appears according to some to be beneficial.

Product

Granted it’s on a tractor but check this - plenty of others too saying this is actually good stuff.

Looking at it as a preventative/enhancement product rather than a fixer type use.

From what I’ve read Porsche don’t recommend the use of any additives but at the same time the A40 standard is actually the minimum and different oils have different additives enhancing the mix.

Also don’t have particular trust in Porsche especially with their extended oil changes, as I am also of the opinion that they don’t particularly care about our engines or their performance as the more broken engines the more profit for them - call me cynical 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks in advance

That sure looks like snake oil to me. I would not want to contaminate my high quality Porsche approved oil with that muck. I think you are trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

Yes I will call you cynical. You don’t trust Porsche but you give a second thought about the product you are asking about. I say go ahead spend your money on the product and report back with your detailed findings. Do you currently have a compression problem?

Interesting, just found this too but it’s marketed towards “classic cars”

Porsche snake oil?

anyone with experience of additives would be helpful

Thanks

Tbh I’m not a very trusting person, whether Porsche or amtech, just curious if there’s any merit to these claims and whether this or another product can be beneficial, pretty sure there are for and against camps as there are with anything, I’m currently on the fence - no compression issues that I’m aware of but I haven’t done a test and don’t believe I have issues, I think if you actually have a compression issue it’s probably better in the long run to get it fixed rather than given paracetamol in a bottle.

This is a terrible idea.

Porsche or non-Porsche.

No.
