Hello all,

I have a 2016 Porsche 911 Black Edition Cabriolet. I installed a wireless CarPlay kit and no longer have any sound coming out of the speakers. The Apple Car Play works flawlessly but I can't even get the radio to play any sound.

I unplugged the kit quad lock and plugged in the original and had sound again.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue or similar?

If I remember correctly the original harness also has the fiber optics that also link to the amp. does the GTA harness also have the fiber run to the amp.

SilverSFR is correct. I had the exact same issue when I installed CarPlay into my 991.1 GTS last weekend. You need to move the fiber optic cable from the original harness to the same spot in the extension harness. For me, it was a little tricky getting the fiber optic out of the original harness but there is a clip, that with depression, loosens the cable and it pulls out with a gentle tug.
