Can I get to a report to check potential Overrevs with my Thinkdiag+ scanner?
Hey all,
I have searched up and down for this answer but can't find anything definitive. Is it possible to access a report that shows if my used manual 2015 C2S with 14k miles has been over-revved with my Thinkdiag+ Bluetooth scanner? I'm wondering if it's possible with my $120 tool, or if it requires a much pricier module to get this info?
Thanks.

I would say it's extraordinarily unlikely that you will get an overrev report out of that thing.
Looking at what they publish as available functions and datapoints for that device for that car, it's a pretty standard OBD scanner.

With this tool you can do pretty much anything a PIWIS can do.q

OK this is the 2nd time I've ever seen or heard about this product. Can someone provide a link to the specific unit? I see a lot of different products on their website.

You need an Android device to do coding.

the apple store has an app for those devices, I'd be surprised if there were capability differences between the two ecosystems..

It's discussed here. tl/dr: "The difference is iOS vs android. The IOS Thinkdiag+ app doesn’t have the coding options available so you’ll need to borrow or buy a cheap android tablet to get the full features."

Amazing, thank you! I love this forum and the community here. We should have this scanner and instructions pinned for sure. I believe buying a relatively inexpensive scanner and an android product if needed should be your first move if you are new to modern Porsches like myself.

I have no experience with Android. What would be a good quality yet inexpensive Android device that I could buy new that would pair well with one of these tools?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for 100$ from Bestbuy. You can get a cheaper used tablet or phone in Ebay.
