991.1 vs 991.2 Targa GTS - interior question
This is not intended to be a .1 vs .2 pissing contest, although those are some of my favorite threads. I am in the market and am back and forth between the .1 vs .2 Targa GTS. I intend for this to be my daily driver. I have a relatively short commute of 7 miles to work, but I take and get my kids from school several times per week as well which is about a 20 mile drive from home/school/work. Both are small kids for their ages, one is in a booster seat and the other one could be in a booster seat but still have him in a forward facing car seat.
is there any difference between the two models in terms of interior space in the back? Is the .1 more crammed or are both similar in size/volume?
also, I read elsewhere that the .1 Targa doesn’t handle the wind well with the top off relative to the .2. Is this true or bogus?

Interior space is the same. No difference in wind “noise” that I can tell. I drive a .1 with the top open most of the time. With heated/ventilated seats & a heated steering wheel, the top is open from the mid 40’s to the 90’s. When I have to get on an interstate, cracking the driver window makes it more comfortable. The only issue is when there is a big cross wind.
Enjoy! I have driven 911’s for 50 years before the first Targa; shame on me.
