991.2 Exhaust Fi vs IPE
Hi All,
This new member with a 991.2 with PSE needs and advice
I am planning to buy a Fi or IPE exhaust and my preference is to have a more high frequency note.
Which ever I pick, will go with a cat delete.
I couldn't find a video or any for a side by side comparison between two.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks
Alper.

As a dealer for FI, I'm inclined to recommend their products over IPE. However, exhaust sound is a highly subjective matter. If possible, I'd suggest listening to both exhausts in person to determine sounds best to you.
If that's not doable, YouTube is a good alternative

Most people will be satisfied with just that change. The stock PSE is free flowing and not a large performance snag, unless you're overly concerned with weight.

Does catless pipes will clog the stock muffler?

I have (still have) had cars without catalytic convertors and it is a very distinctive odor.
As long as you are moving you don't notice it, but at a stop light depending on the direction of the wind it is annoying.

That being said, you're not going to get a high pitch note with these 3.0T motors unfortunately. I have the full SpeedTech system with HJS high flow cats. It doesn't use any mufflers. Its not going to get much louder than this and I can tell you its not very loud. You hear more of a turbo sound than an exhaust sound.
I highly recommend the SpeedTech Switch-X with HJS cats if you want loud and higher pitched.

Just looking at the both systems, the Fi appears it would be louder.
